God Bless Joey and Have A Safe Trip Home (Posted by Jay Moore at Facebook )

I'll always remember the last time I saw Joey. It was this past Mother's Day, a Sunday and I was working security for TSA at the Kahului Airport. Joey was headed back to the mainland and was in line as he approached me from the side to have his ID and airline boarding pass checked. I didn't see him at first but recognized his voice as he said I wasn't going to bust him was I? We both laughed. He had his usual big smile on his face and was very happy that he could spend some time on Maui again with family and friends. The very last words I ever spoke to him are forever etched in me. "Joey, God bless and have a safe trip home." He did.

Dear Joe & Karen,

This is the celebration of Jesus in Heaven that Joey is attending - forever !!

Revelations 7:12 "...and they worshiped GOD saying..."Amen !!
Praise and Glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our GOD for ever and ever
Amen !!"

"HEAVEN" by C. H. SPURGEON
(1834-1892)

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 ""As it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

BUT GOD hath revealed them unto US by his Spirit; for the Holy Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God."

Christians say, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him;" AND there they stop, not seeing that the very marrow of the whole passage lies in this -

"BUT GOD hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit." So that the joys of heaven, are after all, not things of which we can not conceive; for "GOD hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit."

GOD's Peace & Comfort & Healing.

Love Always, Kevin & Shirley (TN)

i'm thinking of joseph today because my beloved milwaukee brewers are playing his beloved los angeles dodgers. joseph became a client of mine at filter and at sauce, and more importantly, he became a friend.

i feel compelled to send him an email or call him up and razz him about the upcoming series . . . will manny help or hurt the team? . . . how does he feel about ryan braun (brewers leftfielder)-- and one of his fantasy team players--being out with a nagging injury? . . . how does he like the fact that the brewers currently have the nl wild card lead?

if now-brewer eric gagne happens to blow a game this weekend, i want to be able to call him up and blame him it's his fault because he broke eric gagne's goggles years ago.

and he'd laugh. i know he'd laugh. and i'm sure he's laughing right now.

Thank you Jay, Kevin and Scott for thinking of Joey. He is in our every thought right now with his birthday coming. I have come to believe that this is a deep journey of faith and trust that we are now in.

His death is a new challenge to us to find treasures of hope in the darkness. It is stretching us greatly, but at the same time the Holy Spirit is leading us thru "the deep things of God" and we are thankful for that. Our love to all who have walked with us. Thank you for remembering our beloved son.

1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 (TLB)

"And now, dear brothers,I want you to know what happens to a Christian when he dies so that when it happens, you will not be full of sorrow, as those are who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and then came back to life again, we can also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him all the Christians who have died. I can tell you this directly from the Lord: that we who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a mighty shout and with the soul stirring cry of the archangel and the great trumpet call of God! And the believers who are dead will be the first to rise to meet the Lord. Then, we who are still alive and remain on the Earth will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So comfort and encourage eachother with this news!"
