What a lovely place to remember Joey and to see the hugeness that is God--our God who carries us through our deepest pain and overwhelming agonies. "Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and hills in the balance? Who has under stood the mind of the Lord. . . . . . . . .?" I do not understand our Mighty God in this instance, I do not understand "Why?", but as I looked out over the ocean I knew: "The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." " '. . . do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. . . . . . . . For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. . . . .for I myself will help you, ' declares the Lord . . . . .".

Thinking of, and praying for, all of you,

Trish

Isaiah 40 & 41Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09606586056714775668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7035205506073110601.post-31211425850109998782008-06-21T14:36:00.000-07:002008-06-21T14:36:00.000-07:00What words of hope can comfort bringthrough hearts...What words of hope can comfort bring
through hearts despaired from suffering
When sorrow quakes the very soul
And solace is refused once more
For death itself does not explain
the sudden loss, the sudden pain
As every tear must weep relief
a still small voice is heard so sweet
I have overcome the grave, you see
Oh now, death where is your sting
So what words of hope can comfort bring?
For where I go,
you shall be

GaryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7035205506073110601.post-55355550506926934852008-06-20T19:46:00.000-07:002008-06-20T19:46:00.000-07:00Hey, Bro!What a great idea, placing flowers at the...Hey, Bro!
What a great idea, placing flowers at the memorial! I'll need you to set us up with 5 tickets from so cal, (4 for us, 1 for the dog) and we'll be there to stay with ya for 2 weeks! sound great?.........
Bro?..... Bro?......
Ha, Ha,Just joking! As the ruling clown of the family, I am taking it upon myself to crack open the jar of levity. Mind you, with great caution and respect. I loved joey so much, and I never missed the chance to joke with him when we crossed paths. I only hope that he loved me as an uncle a fraction of how much his neices and nephews love him!! Remember, "It is well with my soul". Love you, Joe, love you, Karen. SteveAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
