Karen and Joe Are In Virginia

In case you're wondering how Karen and Joe are doing ... they are in Virginia right now visiting JoAnne and her family. I think it's a good thing. This way they also get to spend some time with their grandkids Chase and Claire.

The photo looks like it was taken from Virginia so I placed it here :). This was actually taken 2 Christmases ago in Whistler, during one of their family skii trips. Joey and Rachel interrupted their van trip halfway thru to be there with their family.

So glad you are there. You need Joanne and family--and they need you.

I love you and am still praying for you and thinking of you.

Please call if you need ANYTHING.

Joe, Karen, and The Whole Johnson Ohana,

I want you to know we're thinking of you and praying for you, as you are all TOGETHER right now. Being TOGETHER without Joey must be so, so hard. Yet it also must be comforting to be able to grieve TOGETHER. You can mourn, cry, laugh and remember TOGETHER as a family. I’m sure you have wonderful family memories that you will always talk about and continue to share TOGETHER forever.

Most of your family memories will be remembered, felt and shared just between you guys. But many of those memories will also be shared here on this Blog. I just post something about me understanding why this Blog is so important and needed. I post it on the “Deep Grief” page about JoAnne’s friends comforting her, so I won’t repeat it. But I, again, want to say thank you for sharing “so much of Joey” with all of us. So many beautiful stories, scriptures and words have been shared by people I know well and by people I don’t know at all. It’s nice to have a glimpse into the last 8 years of Joey’s life . . . a glimpse into the last 6 years he and I sadly, yet somewhat understandably, fell out of touch. It is evident that Joey grew into a strong, intelligent, talented, loyal, honest, wise, compassionate, fun-loving (that last one’s my favorite :)) Man of God. This Blog is a testament to Joey's wonderful LIFE . . . and OH HOW HE LIVED AND LOVED HIS LIFE! How great to know that his LIFE continues . . . .

One day, you will ALL be TOGETHER again.

Much, much LOVE to you all,
Kelly

What a blessing it is to all be together. You have always made it a point to have family adventures together no matter who was living where! I WILL do this with my family!
